Productive - Habit Tracker App Reviews

Almost perfect

I would use this app more if the reminders would pop up and tell me what the habit is then ask to swipe if I did it from the notification. Look at the Round medicine reminder app. There’s a little watch icon that tells me if I’ve taken all of today’s pills. Go look. I’m not uninstalling because I paid for it and I’m hoping that one day it will update to be better. I’m tired of general notifications.

Unnecessarily expensive subscription model ??

Edit: I received a Developers Response that was generic and did not address any of my points. Developer: please explain the value proposition of a subscription, and why in the world would I spend $500 over the next 10 years for an app that is not substantially different for a user than the Streaks app, which is free? How is this anything else but greed? Sure they’ll be people that wanna spend that money, and I’m calling them uninformed, foolish, or both. Review: I’ve spent some time looking for an app that would help motivate me to develop habits that I want and avoid those that have been a drag on my life. I wanted an app that would work both on my phone and my watch. I took the time to write this because developers should not be rewarded for their greed. How is this app worth $14 a year, when other better alternatives are so available without a subscription? How do people not know that an app like “Streaks“ is a one-time cost, and is better in every single conceivable way? A one-time payment get you a prettier, more practical, more polished app than this. Why pay every year? Avoid subscriptions when you can – especially when alternatives are significantly superior.

App seems cool

Trying it out for a week. The one year free option doesnt work. I tried it and it only gave me 7 days. The app seems cool, but 1 year trial is Misleading, only 7 days.

Good app for tracking habits

Would’ve gotten 5 if they weren’t always trying to upsell me to the paid version. Which is just subscription based so there’s always a bill down the line.

Useful

I’m someone who likes making lists and checking off that things have been done. This app is great for that. It also gave me prompts for stuff I might not have thought about. Love it so far

Good Features, Terrible Pricing

The features of this app are good but the pricing is terrible! The free version only lets you add 5 habits and the Premium version requires a subscription that ranges from $3 per month to $20 per year. I would have easily paid $3, $5, or even $7 for this app in full but given the pricing model I would suggest others stay away. Edit: I do have a suggestion for improvement — change your pricing model.

Not intuitive. And too many ads

Can’t go a minute without an ad. So many better trackers are out there

Preview

I would love to be able to see a preview of the upcoming day so that I can prepare. If there is a task I have scheduled for first thing in the morning on a once a week basis, I’m missing it because I don’t check the app as soon as my eyes open.

Don’t Do It

The app looks great, but the aggressive hidden billing, difficultly unsubscribing with muddled overly complex rules (have to do it through iTunes), time constraints for doing so, confusing price structure, and a dishonest promotion which automatically gives you premium forcing you into said structure, make this one of my biggest regrets ever downloading. Shame on you

I don’t know if it’s worth the subscription

It’s not bad, but doesn’t seem to stand out compared to other habit trackers. Further, the limits on the free version are almost as annoying as the way the Advertisements are baked into the app. I just honestly feel that free apps like Habitica offer everything this app offers, but for free. This app needs unique features to justify the cost.

I love this app but...

Just charge me one flat fee for the app. I don’t need another monthly/yearly fee to tack on to my already growing list of bills. Don’t get me wrong this app is great it’d be even better if I could just pay a one time fee to own instead of recurring payments. Because of this I’ll have to find another app. :(

Subscription-Based

Darn! I looked up great habit-forming apps and this one looked promising. However, like others, I’m not interested in paying a monthly subscription fee. Too bad!

Can’t unsubscribe

It says you can cancel in settings— not possible.

Up to 4 habits unless you pay

Wont waste time on such a limited app, not enough to evaluate if the premium version is worth anything.

Help!???

This wasn’t exactly what I was looking for. It didn’t give me an option to for a trial and a free version... only the premium version. I believe it stated that after 7 days, my credit card would be charged $19.99. Is that a year? Because... then the App just SHUTDOWN on me. I tried going into the App and iTunes to cancel... however because I haven’t been charged there’s nothing there. Is this a SCAM for you to get your $$. Then we can cancel for the following year, but we’re out the $19.99. If so, that’s pretty bad for someone to do!

Subscription really!!!??

The app is great but having a monthly subscription is a complete rip off. Why can’t there be a version to just purchase ad free. Someone must be getting greedy with money.

Great app

Used to track this in a journal much easier on my phone, love the reminders

Great Idea, Bad Monthly Plan

This was a great app, but as soon as the subscription service presented itself I immediately looked elsewhere. I would rather buy a great app for a one time price, than enter a subscription service. I want the unlimited features, but a subscription service is not worthwhile for a long term application such as this one. Thumbs down on business model, thumbs up on technology.
