Productive - Habit Tracker App Reviews

Hey there!

Stop asking me to review this. The constant prompts to upgrade to a premium subscription are annoying enough. One star!

This app could killed me.

I set a reminder to take a medication. It reminded me 5 days earlier than it should have. Do not purchase. It is not reliable.

One small change would make a big difference

I like this app a lot. What would make it so much better, in my opinion, is if on the notification badge there was a choice to show the number the “have-dones” as opposed to the remaining “to-do’s.” Habits are reinforced by rewards, so seeing the number of things you’ve managed to check off the list is much more motivating than seeing the number of things you still haven’t done, which can actually be dispiriting. By only showing the remainder number makes it the app function as a reminder list, rather than a real tool for habit formation. It would be great if they could add this option.

Good app

I’m 7 I should get this app so I was looking for tips for being bullied I’m not trying to be a bully and this showed up tada I want this app now

Unhappy

I’ve owned and used productive for a long time but now it made me sign up for a premium subscription (shouldn’t I be grandfathered in since I already paid for the app?) and then it stopped working. When I open the app in the morning, it thinks it’s still the evening before and doesn’t want to change to the right day no matter what I do (restarting the phone, etc.) this has happened to me several days now and makes the app unusable. So, why would I pay $20/year for an app I can’t use when I had already paid for a version that worked well in the first place?

I nearly bought it

I had high hopes after setting this app up this morning. It seemed like it could be so useful helping me get back on my feet. I was really excited to do the trial for the complete version. The app seemed like it could have helped me so much. Then I saw the price, which would have made it the most expensive app I’ve ever bought myself. Then I realized it was a subscription, which is even worse. There’s no way I’m going to be able to repeatedly spend that much money for an app to prevent it from expiring. According to productivity app lists online, this app used to cost 4 bucks as a one time purchase. If I saw that listing I would buy it. If the price was higher I’d have to think. Any subscription is absolutely out of the question.

Makes a real difference!

With so many things going at once, I keep finding myself trying, but failing, to create and sustain good habits. I downloaded this app and have seen a 100% productivity increase in maintaining the habits I’ve tried to achieve. It makes it easy to create, be reminded, and mark as done, and has some cool customization options, too. Very impressed! It’s done exactly what I wanted it to do.

Great app!

Im 16 and I got this app to keep track of chores and other daily habits I often forget. Its exactly what I needed. Im not trying to schedule my day down to the minute or even the hour. And I needed an app flexible enough that as long as I complete my habit that day, it doesnt break my streak, but still keeping certain habits to certain times of day. I like that you can schedule an individual habit for multiple times a day instead of having to create the same habit 3 times, each time scheduling a different time. I also enjoy how customizable it is, how you can choose the icon, color and order of the habits. My favorite thing about the app is the general scheduling. There are 3 times to schedule a habit to; morning, afternoon and evening. And you can choose between which times each of these apply. Even if I miss a habit during its schedules time, it isnt counted as missed until the day is over, which keeps my motivation for the streaks up. Its the perfect level of simplicity for me. My only complaint is that I have to pay a subscription for more habits! I dont really care about whatever else comes with premium. I love this app and its exactly what I need but I cant pay a subscription. If it was a one-time fee for premium forever then I could do that. Even if it was $20 as long as it was just once. Otherwise, this app is just about perfect for me.

AWESOME

This is great app! It help me stay heathy! I LOVE IT

Love this app but miss life pulse from balanced

So I absolutely love this app, it’s been so helpful to me and I was also a long time user of balanced. The one thing I really miss though is the life pulse feature! It was so great to be able to see on a chart what percentage of habits I was achieving each day! In productive all I can see is if I had a perfect day or a partially complete day. But for me there’s a big difference between completing 10% of my habits for the day and 90%, but they both count as partially complete days!

Why is it a subscription?

Decent enough app but not worth $25 a year.

Looks ok but the fee bites

I like the idea of this app but you only get to try it for seven days before paying a monthly fee.

Ugh

It’s a great app but without the premium you can Only do like three reminders and it always nagging you for premium would so it’s hard to even use the free app

Good app but always asking for money

The app is great but sometimes it can be quite pushy, trying to get you to pay for premium. Which I would do if it wasnt a subscription.

Kind of misleading

Seems like a good app, but the free version is incredibly limited.

Disappointing

Just another app that is useless unless you pay money

Good App but watch out for subscription

They will get you with their 1 year cost if your not paying attention. Other than that, it’s a good app

Almost perfect.....

I love this app, but the one thing that annoys me is how I can’t see what tasks are schedule for future days. I don’t care that I can see which tasks I finished in previous days; I want to see the ones that I will have to do tomorrow or some other near future day.

Dark conversion method

Nowhere in the onboarding says how much it costs and the biggest call to action before you start using it is “try for free” without any explanation of the cost or the fact that it auto converts free to paid if you don’t cancel it. Had to come back here and expand the in-app purchase costs to see what that would be. I have no issues paying for apps but I’m not giving money to a developer that is using dark UX to trick people into upgrading.

Love it, wish it were free though.

I’m a busy person. Work, school, home, etc. I have a bullet journal and a planner but I don’t always have those on my person, enter Productive. I saw this as an ad on instagram and immediately went to download it. I love that i get a free trial of the premium, but i wish it was free period. I have WAY more than 5 (or however many the free version allows) things to do in a day that I need reminded of so I will decide if I will pay or not before my trial ends.
